Cultivate the position of the tip of the tongue being placed right behind your teeth on the fleshy mound behind the upper front teeth. Make this a new habit.

Water – As the Kundalini rises it will stimulate and activate the Kidneys. They can feel enlarged so plenty of living water i.e. water that is from a spring or another source that isn’t chlorinated or from the tap of a city.

Programming (TV, movies, books, music, friends, family, church) – In our culture we are seeing and reading and hearing, from various sources, many negative and fear evoking forms of entertainment, news and communications. This is not helpful when a person is newly activated with the Kundalini. Fear, excessive lust, hateful attitudes, can be quite painful and damaging to the new Kundalyn and many unfortunate events can be created by the Kundalini exposed to such energies. So, no scary movies, or books or radio shows unless you want to experience them in real-time with you as the unwitting star. Music that is angry or hateful or hurtful even if the melody is sweet need to be curtailed. Interfamilial problems are sometimes hard to dismiss. Try as much as possible to bring love and peace and forgiveness into your daily and nightly life. I know this sounds difficult but just make it a priority and it will be extremely beneficial to you and your Kundalini, setting the best pattern for the energy to follow in its transformation of your life.

Food choices – Pay attention to the new tastes and desires your body begins to have. If you have been a vegetarian and you start having an interest in beef… well, try to find some organic beef and eat it, love it and bless the animal that has given the ultimate gift for you. The Kundalini needs what is in that meat in order to advance your activation. It wants and needs that kind of protein, surrender to this. Or if the opposite is true you’re a meat eater and the Kundalyn Energies wish for you to become vegetarian – don’t hesitate! Find yourself a great organic market or farmers market and make like a rabbit! Really, you will be muc

Meditation

Meditation is an essential practice. Most religious systems offer a technique or regamine for meditation and, typically, they all will work. Meditation is a practice that is solely controlled by the meditator so you are in charge and what you put into the practice is what you will get out. If you dont have a technique then I offer you mine.

One must learn to still and quiet the mind. Start by sitting in a chair, positioning towards the edge of the chair with your spine straight head slightly looking up. If your sitting on the floor keep your spine straight and your head slightly tilted up. Close your eyes and place your eyes in the position of looking at the brow of points. This is located just above the bridge of the nose. It will seem uncomfortable at first but this will subside with practice.

Place your fingers in the Kundalini mudra- thumb tip and forefinger tip together the remaining fingers spread out not touching anything or each other-now breath through your nose. Normal breathing at first then deepening the breath until your entire belly and chest are expanding on the inhalation and deflating upon exhalation like a baby. This is called infant breathing and it is very effective in helping you to achieve a meditative state. Silently and to yourself say the words “ I am still and I am one with God” Say it as you breath in and as you breath out. Over and over.

As your thoughts go by let them go by. Try not to go into a lot of effort, as that is as distracting as anything else. Soon you will feel your self slipping into a kind of reverie. Allow yourself to just stay and be. After a time, gently disengage from your meditation and come back into normal space and time.

This is a beginning meditation and will do many of the same things the more advanced forms will do. However as you have received a Kundalini activation or wish to, or have already encountered the Kundalini you may feel movement at the base of your spine or a heat spreading from there and flowing up. Keep your tongue to the roof of your mouth, connecting the front to back energy networks of the body. And begin to love this movement and surrender to it. Allow it to do as IT feels it must do. Kundalini is intelligent. It knows you. Let it do as it wishes and have no fear as this is evolutionary and your one of the few first pioneers.

This is typically not a soft, wispy, ticklish energy, its often quite strong and often abrupt. If your feeling ticklish energy at first, then this is fine and can build slowly into the more active stages. Most important is not to become afraid. Fear gets amplified, like everything else, but does more damage. Tenses the body, invites negative entities. Creates a vortex of hopelessness that can threaten a person’s sanity. Kundalini is a gift from Divinity and anyone fortunate enough to receive this gift is truly blessed. Meditation (daily) helps this gift. So allow the gift to do its job, which is to bring you- by upgrading your electrical systems both sublte and gross - into an enlightened state of joy and love, bliss and knowledge, wisdom. The gift of conscious divinity in flesh and blood and bone.
